Hi! My name is Aileen Lau and I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I'm pretty creative and am usually doodling or beading or working on a website or font. I used to spend a lot of time on the computer until I got a job as a human resources advisor, and now I get bored with computers easily.
I'm known within my circle of friends for reading Nancy Drews as bedtime stories. They also know I'm very particular about my toothpaste (Crest for Kids) and junkfood (Skittles) and martinis (my new favourite is called a mochatini).
Music plays a very important part of my life - I've been playing piano since I was four and I now teach on the side. As for recorded music, the CDs that keep showing up in my stereo include de-phazz's "Death By Chocolate", Ours' "Distorted Lullabies", Longpigs' "The Sun is Often Out" and "Mobile Home", Muse's "Showbiz", and Bebel Gilberto's "Tanto Tempo."
I've been obsessed about movies ever since I found out the local library carries DVDs. I only own one though, and it's Jeff Buckley "Live in Chicago." One day I hope to build a large DVD collection and I'll definitely include "The Usual Suspects" because it's my favourite movie of all time.
So that's a basic story about me... And according to my dad, that girl on the right kind of looks like me =)
